Hello,

My name is JM. I moved to the U.S. in 2017 after receiving my Green Card. It is my home.

Earlier this year I traveled back to Afghanistan to finally marry my beautiful wife. Unfortunately, during this time the Taliban came in and assumed control of the entire country. My wife and I were unable to celebrate our wedding the way we wanted! Worse than that, we were unable to leave and in fear of losing our lives. The Taliban were everywhere in the city, it happened really quickly. No one expected the invasion to happen this quickly.

My wife and I couldn’t sleep well following Taliban control! We couldn’t eat well! I was lost with a broken heart! I did not know what to do! We came to Kabul to try and get a flight. We were not successful. Not long after we arrived in Kabul we were introduced to Sylvia and Molly with Task Force Argo, they were also helping my brother-in-law.

Sylvia and Molly guided us very well, they were in touch with us every second to make sure that we stayed safe and away from the Taliban. They knew what they were doing. My wife and I are safe today, Task Force Argo saved our lives.

I appreciate everyone from Task Force Argo and all of those who helping with the evacuation, especially under the difficult circumstances.
