Emran

Hello, I am Emran.

I spent 12 years of my life in the service of my homeland. I was an Afghan National Security Officer. I got married in 2018 and my wife holds a US Green Card. I wished I could start my life with my wife soon. With the arrival of the Taliban in my country, I thought it would never happen. The US embassy in Afghanistan closed and I feared this would never happen. One day, I was very sad and overwhelmed, I thought I am not going to get see my wife ever again. Then, my wife called me, and she was very happy, she had received good news.

She told me “I find really kind women and they help Afghan people.”

We were waiting for three days to hear from these kind women, and then I received a text message from Ms. Sylvia and Ms. Molly to go to Mazar. They told me I would be there for a week and then a flight would come to take me out of Afghanistan. I was very happy because these two kind angels were messaging me and my wife every day and giving us hope for our future life. I never thought I would leave Afghanistan.

And now I thank God for every moment that I live without fear.

Going to America was like a dream for me, I did not think that one day I could leave Afghanistan, I spent very hard days until God sent me two kind angels (Sylvia and Molly). These two angels made me breathe easy these days. I sleep without fear every night.

Finally, I thank Task Force Argo for helping me and saving my life. Task Force Argo has gifted me a new life outside of Afghanistan. Thank you so much to Ms. Sylvia and Ms. Molly who have patiently texted me for all the updates and notifications and housed me in a safe house.
